Cannot rate Craig enough. He has done an amazing job of tiling my bathroom floor after another plumber botched the job of fitting the bathroom. Highly recommend Craig and really looking forward to having him back to do some more jobs in my house. Really nice guy and fantastic work.

Bathroom installation in Blackpool
Precision Joinery and Tiling installs bathrooms, shower rooms, en suites and wet rooms across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast. One team handles the strip out, waterproofing, fitting and tiling, so there is no gap between trades and nothing falls through the cracks.

Fitted and tiled by the same team
We install bathrooms across Blackpool, from a new suite in a compact en suite to a full wet room with underfloor heating and floor-to-ceiling porcelain. Because tiling is one of our own trades, the waterproofing and the tile layout are planned together rather than bolted on at the end.
The work is coordinated so that the plumbing, electrics, boarding, tanking and tiling happen in the right order, cured at the right time and checked before the next stage starts. That is the difference between a bathroom that looks good on day one and one that still looks good in ten years.
What bathroom installation includes
Every bathroom is quoted from a site visit, but a full installation with us typically covers everything below. The spec is confirmed in writing before any work starts.
- Old suite, tiles and floor stripped out
- Walls and floor inspected and made good
- Boarding, tanking and waterproofing completed
- Plumbing and electrical first fix coordinated
- Sanitary ware fitted and connected
- Full wall and floor tiling, grouted and sealed
- Underfloor heating fitted if specified
- Mirrors, accessories and final silicone finished
Bathroom installation across Blackpool and the Fylde Coast
We fit all bathroom types, from straightforward bath and shower combinations to full wet rooms with linear drains and heated walls. We work with most sanitary ware suppliers and can advise on what holds up well in a busy family bathroom versus a guest en suite. Large-format porcelain, natural stone, metro tiles, decorative feature walls and mosaic detailing are all jobs we carry out regularly.
Underfloor heating is worth doing at the installation stage rather than adding later. If it is going in, the system is laid before the floor tiles are set, the thermostat position is agreed before the walls are plastered and the whole thing is tested before grouting starts. We carry out the same discipline on tanking. Getting that right at the beginning is the only thing that prevents damp problems appearing two years after the bathroom is finished.
What to expect during your bathroom installation
Strip out is usually the first day. Boarding and tanking come next and need time to cure before tiling begins. Sanitary ware is fitted once the tiling is complete and the adhesive is set. Final connections, silicone, mirrors and accessories go in last. We keep the site tidy each day and protect hallways and stairs throughout.
How the bathroom installation process works
We start with a free site visit to measure the room, check the floor structure and talk through what you want. The itemised quote covers fitting, tiling and coordination of the plumbing and electrical work. Once you accept it, we agree a start date and a programme. You will know which day the water is off and roughly when the room will be usable again.
Why choose Precision Joinery and Tiling for your bathroom
Tanking done properly from the start
Damp problems in bathrooms almost always come from tanking that was rushed or skipped. We tank the floor former, the shower walls and the areas around the bath before any tile goes up. That adds a day to the programme but it is the difference between a bathroom that lasts and one that needs ripping out again in five years.
Tiling by the same team, not a subcontractor
We do not hand the tiling part of the job to someone else. The fitter and the tiler work alongside each other, which means the tile layout is set out around the sanitaryware positions, the grout lines line up with the panels and the finish looks considered rather than accidental.
One fixed price, everything included
Bathroom quotes from Precision are itemised so you can see what the fitting costs, what the tiling costs and what the plumbing costs. If the budget needs adjusting, you can see exactly where. Nothing is added at the end that was not in the original price, and every stage is signed off before the next one starts.

Verified reviews
Craig has recently hung some oak doors for us. We were really delighted with the workmanship and would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.
I phoned Craig desperately wanting some help with fitting my bathroom. He was very quick to respond, gave me a quote within a couple of days and was most helpful with picking the best boards and flooring. He is very genuine, honest and always puts 100 per cent into his work.
Bathroom installation questions answered
How long does bathroom installation in Blackpool take?
Most bathrooms take between seven and twelve working days from strip out to sign off. A straight shower-room swap can be quicker. A wet room with full tanking, underfloor heating and floor-to-ceiling tiling takes a few days longer because the tanking and adhesive need proper curing time before anything sits on top of them.
Can you fit a wet room in a normal house?
Yes, in most houses. A wet room needs a former set into the floor, full tanking on the walls and floor, and a fall built towards the drain. Timber joists are usually fine once checked to confirm the former can sit at the right depth between them. We carry out a pre-survey before any work starts.
Do you handle the plumbing and electrics?
Yes. The joinery, tiling, fitting and finishing are ours, and the plumbing and electrical certification are done by the same tradespeople we use on every bathroom job. It is coordinated by us and included in one quote, so you are not managing three separate contractors yourself.
Is tiling or waterproof panelling better for a bathroom?
Tiling lasts longer, looks better close up and adds more to the value of the house. Panelling goes up faster, costs less and has no grout lines to clean, which suits rental properties, holiday lets and quick refreshes. We fit both and will tell you honestly which makes more sense for your room and budget.
Will you take the old suite and tiles away?
Yes. Strip out, skip hire and disposal are included in the price unless you want to keep anything. Let us know before we start and we will set it aside rather than putting it in the skip.
Can you fit a bathroom in a flat or apartment?
Yes. We work in flats, maisonettes and apartments regularly. The main difference is the noise management and access for skips or waste, which we plan before the job starts. Water is turned off at the building stopcock rather than a house stopcock, and we coordinate the timing with the building manager if needed.
What does bathroom installation cost in Blackpool?
Cost varies with the size of the room, the specification of the sanitary ware, how much tiling is involved and whether underfloor heating is going in. We price from a site visit, not a formula. The quote is itemised so you can see each element clearly and adjust the spec if the budget needs trimming.
Ready to plan your bathroom?
Tell us the room size and what you are hoping for. Craig will come out, assess the space and put a clear written quote together. No obligation and no pressure.
