Blackpool and the Fylde Coast
We are based in Blackpool and carry out the majority of our work across FY1–FY8 and the surrounding postcodes. That covers central Blackpool, the Fylde coast resorts, the market towns inland and the villages between Blackpool and Preston.
The Fylde has a wide range of housing stock, from Victorian terraces in Blackpool town centre to large Edwardian and inter-war detached properties in Lytham and St Annes, 1970s estates in Poulton and Cleveleys, and rural farmhouses and barn conversions further inland. We have worked on all of them and price each job for what it actually involves rather than applying a flat rate.
For jobs that are just outside our normal area, it is always worth a call. Larger projects, extensions, loft conversions, full kitchen and bathroom renovations, are worth travelling for and we take those on across a wider radius.

Why local experience matters on the Fylde
Lytham, St Annes, South Shore and parts of central Blackpool have large stocks of pre-1920 housing. Original mouldings, non-standard door sizes and floors that have never been flat need a joiner who knows what to expect rather than one who discovers it mid-job.
Thornton, Cleveleys and the Poulton estates have significant new-build stock. We carry out second fix joinery packages, kitchen and bathroom installations and bespoke fitted furniture in new-build homes across the Fylde regularly.
Barn conversions and rural farmhouses in the Fylde and Wyre valleys have their own requirements: exposed beams, uneven walls, non-standard openings and the logistics of getting materials to a site that is not on a main road. We handle all of it.
Areas we cover, questions answered
How far do you travel for joinery and building work?
We cover the whole of the Fylde Coast and most of Lancashire within roughly 25 miles of Blackpool. That includes Lytham, St Annes, Poulton-le-Fylde, Thornton-Cleveleys, Fleetwood, Kirkham, Wesham, Garstang and the Wyre villages. If you are just outside that range, ring us anyway, larger jobs are often worth travelling for.
Do you charge a call-out or travel fee?
No. The site visit and written quote are free, and there is no travel charge added to the job price for anywhere within our normal working area on the Fylde Coast.
Do you work on period properties in Lytham and St Annes?
Yes, and it is a significant part of what we do. Older Lytham and St Annes property comes with deep skirtings, high ceilings, original mouldings and floors that have settled over a century. It needs a different approach to a modern house, mainly because almost nothing is a standard size and almost nothing is square. We price it as what it actually is.
Can you work in Blackpool town centre properties and flats?
Yes. We work in apartments, converted properties and town centre buildings regularly. Access for materials and skips is planned in advance, noise is managed and we coordinate with building managers where the property requires it.
Do you cover rural Fylde villages like Warton, Freckleton and Wrea Green?
Yes. We cover the rural Fylde regularly, including Warton, Freckleton, Wrea Green, Elswick, Great Eccleston and the villages between Blackpool and Preston. Journey time is short from our base and there is no additional charge.
